HEALTH DIPLOMACY IN SEE: THE CASE OF SOUTH EAST EUROPEAN HEALTH NETWORK

This paper will be considered mainly with a decade of the regional cooperation process in the SEE in the period 1991-2011 set up to contribute to rebuild peace and stability and further constantly transforming to support sustainable development and 21st century challenges in the SEE. It emphasizes regional cooperation process in the SEE in public health presented through South-east Europe Health Network (SEEHN) and its multifaceted mutually reinforcing roles: that of a health diplomacy tool in rebuilding and sustaining peace and stability in the SEE, and that of an agora for public health acting to achieve the overarching goal: all of a government action for health and through health contributing to economic development and strengthening European integration processes of the SEE countries.
